Sit File Reader
1. What is it?
Sit File Reader will build a list of files used in a track by reading the SIT and other track files. You have the option to save the LST as a text file which can then be edited and used with programs like cpod, winpod or tracked1/2 to reconstruct the pod or do additional editing. You also have the option to build a pod from the reader.
2. What you need.
3. Extract the merged pod using podview.
- Open pod
- Edit > Select All
- Files > Extract selected files
- Check "recreate directory structure" box
- Click OK
Give it a minute to work, then close podview.
4. Open SIT file in the Sit File Reader
- Click open button
- Browse to World folder
- Select Sit file
5. Save a LST or POD file.
- Click a button
- A LST file can be helpful for trouble shooting.
- A POD file 'should' work in the game.
- A log file is created that lists files not found on the hdd (also good for trouble shooting)
You will be prompted when it's finished.
6. Known issues.
- Won't read some bin files
- Log includes files not used in track
- Does not podzip but should work on podzipped tracks
7. Possible updates
- Prompt to save file name
- Read TRK files
- File search BIN files
- Rework the interface
- Read and extract POD files (get rid of podview)
- Who knows, maybe nothing...
